Astellas Walks for Alzheimer's

Twelve Astellas employees participated in the nation's largest walk event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's disease. All Astellas participants crossed the finish line (with three running the entire course) to show their thanks and support to the generous friends and colleagues who helped them raise over $3,000. Alzheimer's is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States with one person being diagnosed every seventy-one seconds. The money raised at the event will go towards increasing public awareness, preventive research, and programs to improve the lives of the more than five million Americans who are already affected by Alzheimer's.
