Department Holds Back-to-School Drive

An Astellas department held its annual Back to School drive set up to help under-resourced parents get their children ready for the new school year.

The department collected and donated over 60 backpacks filled with much needed school supplies including composition books, binders, markers, pens and more. A spokesperson for the supported organization said, “Because of yours and other donations we assisted over 300 children of low-income families to start the school year with a new backpack and basic supplies. We personally distributed the supplies to the young students and their families, and I can assure you that they were grateful and very, very happy. Your efforts and generosity has helped to get these young students off to a great start.”
